Hear it from Someone whose “Been There”

NAMI’s powerful speaker programs, “In Our Own Voice” and “Sharing Our Stories,” aim to change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people living with mental health conditions. NAMI trained presenters share their personal experience living with a mental health condition or loving someone who does. Audience members have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about mental health, and challenge misconceptions.

The presentations are offered free of charge and are appropriate for diverse audiences, including family members, friends, mental health professionals, people diagnosed with mental health conditions and those interested in learning about the journey associated with serious mental health conditions. In person or virtual presentations can be scheduled for businesses, hospitals, high schools, colleges and universities, communities of faith, community organizations, and more. Contact us at nami.cmsx@gmail.com if you would like more information about a presentation for your organization.
