NAMI Walks
NAMI Walks Massachusetts
Join us for a stigma free, joyful day and help raise funds. NAMI Walks Massachusetts is our biggest fundraiser. Each spring we gather to stand up against stigma, raise funds, and promote awareness of mental health. You won’t want to miss the fun and the meaningful community experience that happens yearly in May. In 2024 we gathered in a new location, the Boston Common, which opened up layers of fresh energy to the event. Our Central Middlesex affiliate partners with multiple mental health support organizations for the big event including Edinburg and Potter Place, Haverhill Clubhouse, Point After Club, Elm Brook Place, DBSA, and the Bedford VA.
Walk, Raise Funds, Donate. . . or Do All Three!
Participants can join one of our established NAMI Central Middlesex walking teams, or captain one of their own under the Central Middlesex umbrella. The fundraising effort is supported by the easy to use NAMI Walks platform. Once you summon the courage to ask, you’ll find that folks are eager to give to support local mental health. Walk with us, raise funds, donate, or do all three!
Help Make the Walk a Success
Does fundraising get your juices going? Help us organize our affiliate’s participation in NAMI Walks, raise funds for mental health support, and plan a great stigma free day. Our affiliate often ranks as one of the higher performing fundraisers for the NAMI Walks Massachusetts event, so we know we have a strong Walks Team in place. We want to share the work load and expand our reach. The strength of our affiliate’s contribution to NAMI Walks MA is the dedicated commitment of NAMI Central Middlesex members but also our focus on hosting and sharing our enthusiasm, and our walk proceeds, with other like-minded mental health support organizations.
If you are a strong communicator, like to motivate others, and have a desire to support NAMI’s mission, a role supporting the Walk effort might be just the opportunity to join a great team and give back. The busy time for this team is generally mid-February through the end of May with some effort needed during the months before and after.
