NAMI Family-to-Family Course

An evidence-based, eight-session, weekly course for family members and friends of individuals living with mental health conditions. Topics include understanding the symptoms of mental illness, learning about treatments and therapies, practicing communication and problem-solving skills, creating a positive team approach, and self-care. The class is taught by NAMI trained family members. There is no cost to participants. Currently, many courses are meeting remotely via video conference but a few are meeting in person. Registration is required.

NAMI Basics Course

A six-session weekly course designed for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents showing signs of behavioral and emotional challenges. Highlights include discussing symptoms & behavior, learning about treatments & resources, managing crisis, developing communication & problem solving skills, working with schools, understanding the family dynamic, and self-care. The class is taught by NAMI trained family members who have children with similar concerns. Registration is required.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer Course

An eight-session weekly recovery-focused course for adults wishing to establish and maintain mental health wellness. Participants learn about self-discovery, finding community, acceptance, empowerment and more. The class is taught by NAMI trained peers. There is no cost to participants. Registration is required.

TraumaInSight

NAMI National is offering a new online training created with youth-serving professionals in mind that covers the principles of trauma awareness. TraumaInSight helps participants learn how to identify youth dealing with trauma and take supportive action to help. The course can be completed in three hours, and is offered free of charge.
