NAMI Massachusetts Annual Convention

Our 40th Annual State Convention will take place at the Westin Hotel in Waltham on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Ken Duckworth, MD – Chief Medical Officer, NAMI – will kick-off the Convention as the keynote speaker. He will discuss his new book, “You Are Not Alone: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Mental Health,” which provides an essential resource for individuals and families seeking expert guidance on diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, featuring inspiring, true stories from real people in their own words. He will moderate a keynote panel with some of the local individuals referenced in his book, as well.

Also, NAMI Central Middlesex is offering scholarships for convention tickets to members with limited means who would like to attend.   • Beat the Stigma: From Awareness to Action

  • Settling the Mind into Stillness: The Role of Yoga and Mindfulness in Mental Health Recovery


Additionally, our 2022 Award Nomination form is live at forms.office.com/pages/responsepage. The award categories for this year are as follows:

  • Program Leader of the Year Award

  • Excellence in Crisis Response Award

  • Champion of Youth Mental Health Award

  • Karl Ackerman Award

The nomination deadline is Monday, October 10th. Award winners will receive (2) complimentary tickets to the convention and will be recognized during our Luncheon and Award Ceremony.

Also, the Art Marketplace is now accepting applications. This is open to people selling artwork, crafts, and other handmade goods that are designed by or made by the seller. Space is limited. Unfortunately, submitting an application will not guarantee participation. All accepted artists will be required to pay a $50 fee. This fee includes breakfast, lunch, parking, (1) table, and (2) chairs. The deadline to submit is Friday, October 21st. Apply to the Art Marketplace.
