Introducing the 2022 “Stand Up to Stigma” Scarecrows!

Wow! The “Stand Up to Stigma” Scarecrow Contest was a super creative event again this year, and the support, both emotional and financial, for local mental health efforts is most welcome. Check out all the scarecrows in the one minute slideshow. The public placed their votes by donating $1 for each vote. First place goes to “Triangles for Ukraine” by Doug Sweetser. Second place is “Bruno” by the Murphy Family, and third place goes to “RBG” by the League of Women Voters.

The Jack-O’-Lantern Glow By event over Halloween weekend was also a big hit with neighbors coming out to see the sight and folks driving slowly by the fence aglow with lit pumpkins. We had over 80 jack-o’-lanterns this year and some are featured in the gallery below.

Many thanks to Cucurbit Farm, cucurbitfarm.com, for hosting this annual event and to all those who participated by building scarecrows, carving pumpkins, voting for their favorite entry, donating funds, talking up mental health awareness, or helping with clean up.
